Compress a proven design.

If I take this design and compress it so that it is no more than 9" high, keeping the length of the TL constant, would this work? What about volumn behind the baffle?
Thoughts?
My friend has built the matching tower speakers, and a matching center would be sweet.

It will change the CSA of the line if all you do is reduce the vertical dimention but I doubt it will change the response all that much (or enough to worry about). The volume behind the baffle is a part of the line as well, it's not a problem.

I can't see any reason why it won't be fine.
