Default Woofer with 2 sets of Terminals?

Hi, my Woofer (Seas CA25RE4X/DC) has 2 sets of terminals?
Aparently it has 2 layer voice coil with seperate terminals.
Do I just connect to one set of terminals?
Any help appreciated.
Sam.

Functionally, yes, you could connect to only one set. Ideally, both should be used, as this will provide the full efficiency of the woofer. 4ohm load for a parallel connection and 16ohm for a series connection. The T/S provided by seas is for a parallel connection. Using a series connection would change the electrical parameters. Using only one of the coils would change the electrical and mechanical parameters.

thanks tuukka,
unfortunately I designed my crossovers asuming the woofer was an 8ohm driver, so I would only connect to one set of terminals? Would that compromise on the characteristics of the driver and not perform to its max capabilities?
