I am in need of sometype of RTA for my speaker builing projects. I have never used one.EVER, also never used a EQ eathier,, I have now changed my mind on them..The RTA I need soon & am looking at TRUE RTA but really don't have a clue exactly what I need. I have a good new laptop, so hoping to utilize it in the deal, something that is fairly simple to use & such. I don't even know what mic, or anything so be kind..I am as new as it gets to measuring these type of things. I have searched & am getting the DEQ 2496, but I have my supisions that the RTA on it is lacking, don't know though

Hi,
I have the full version of trueRTA and a deq2496. Truerta is way better being 1/24 octave. I use a behringer ecm8000 mic, with a behringer shark preamp. The preamp has a load of other features not needed, and I'd like a much simpler one. It all works ok though. I use a m-audio transit usb soundcard for my laptop. Works fine. Cheers, Rob. |
