enclosure suggestions

I am in doubt about ss 21w8555-01 woofer.I tried it in closed
box of some 46litres but bass was weak.So i need some
advise ,maybe to try it in ported box.It appears this driver is
better suited for ported enclosures.I hope someone have
experience with this woofer.

Do you have any specifications for this woofer? EG.... Qtc,Fs,Vas....We need some numbers to do some calculations...OK?

Suggestions: If you want to keep the box you could use either of

-25 Hz tuning, add a tube of diameter 70 mm, length 284 mm
-30 Hz tuning, add a tube of diameter 70 mm, length 179 mm
-35 Hz tuning, add a tube of diameter 100 mm, length 283 mm

The ones with higher tuning will give stronger, but not as deep bass.



Responses and maximum output levels for the suggested systems. Red= 25 Hz tuning, green=30 Hz tuning, blue=35 Hz tuning, black=closed box.

The simulations include a baffle step from a 30x60 cm baffle, but no room gain. The room gain will lift the lower frequencies, and the baffle step should typically be compensated for by lowering higher frequencies.
