Default Help with horn loading

Hi everybody I'm oppressed with a problem connected to my job: I need to have a speaker with the most efficiency I can obtain.

I've thought about a woofer of this type

http://www.ciare.com/pdf/catalogo/PW328.pdf

with a 98dB ! But I need more dB so I thounght about a horn loading. I don't need fidelty but only dB (and if it's possible, a bit of portability). I need only a band between 60Hz-70Hz and 5Khz.

But the problem is that I haven't never done a horn loading. How could I do it in a simple way to obtain the best efficiency ? As I saw I don't need particular aligments.

Thanks in anticipation !
Bye

Did you mean 60Hz to 5KHz?

Anyway, you can download hornresp and try it out. http://www.users.bigpond.com/dmcbean/

Horns get big fast. I doubt you'll get the whole bandwidth from 1 speaker.

Have a search for the punisher horns - they'll get down to the 60Hz figure, and a pair is quite small and portable. Add a midhorn 300 up it could be possible.

Rob.
