Yes, as I understand it it was a Celestion HF2000 and crossed over at about 5,000 from a sealed back Peerless mid. Try using a Coles 4001 from Coles Electroacoustics (UK) That's what some of the people with UK based speakers are trying as they replace KEF T27 etc. It is the old STC 4001. Others have spoken highly of the CElestion aftersales service so they might be worth a go. On the other hand there are others 19mm/3/4" domes around and the Coles model may not be comfortable goib much below 6k Hz. There are several out let in the USA with a good range of drive units. Probably have to replace both though.
