In the stereophile review of the Usher X-719, Joe D'Appolito stated that
"the X-719 is sensitive to internal placement of the crossover components and enclosure lining, both of which appear to have been disturbed by rough handling during shipment. We have not seen the suckout in any of our testing." does this mean than moving the crossover outside the box would yield some advantages ?

Haven't read stereofile article, however, I'm guessing the review was done with speakers sent to reviewer gratis. By your words, it's clear that there is some problem w/crossover. It's ALWAYS easier to modify or play with a crossover on exterior of box. After it's optimized, then one puts it where it's 'safe' , and can't be messed with.., (usually inside the box) I'm wondering if designer of these speakers put crossover directly in way of something important, like maybe a vent of some sort.., that has potential of sending some sound out of boxes to augment sound. I don't know.
