Hello, all! Please go easy on the newbie.
I am building a small recording/mixing studio in my basement, which is small, but should be serviceable. I plan to build soffits up front, into which I am hoping to build John's MTM speakers, using the reduced baffle-step compensation crossover which I have. However, I'm concerned that creating what's essentially an infinite baffle may still mess with this. I've attached an image of a sketch-up drawing of my room. Yes, it's only about 6'3" tall (with the false floor - I'm going to see if I can dispense with that to gain a few inches), and everything will need to be free-standing, including the soffits. Any thoughts on this? I suppose I could always mess with the crossover later, but I'd like to get this as right the first time as I can. Thanks! |

How does one edit a post?
I forgot to attach the drawing. Sorry about that! |
