Also, for the 2.4 mH inductor do I just buy a 2.5 mH and shorten it up or something?

Yes, best is to buy a LCR multimeter and meassure while you're unwinding it.

Is 2.5 mH close enough? Don't inductors have range of +/- 5%?
I can't get an LC meter |

I think you'd be lucky to buy an inductor with a 5% tolerance, most likely it's 10-20%. Your drivers are likely to be 10% off nominal spec, too. The 2.5 is probably close enough.
You can make an impedance bridge with an opamp, a couple of 9V batteries and and a pair of resistors in about 10 minutes. http://www.arrl.org/qex/2005/Steber.pdf http://www.arrl.org/qexfiles/LMSprog.zip |
