I have 4 Keele design single 18" W-bins (1200*600*800). One pair has JBL K151s, The others Cetec Gauss 8842 drivers. When I originally got these, I powered them with 300 watt amps, and that was fine. Now I have 3000 watt amps (QSC PLX 3402s) and I have to tread carefully on the gas pedal as the old drivers are not built for these sorts of powers. Any suggestions as to what modern drivers would offer a significant improvement without trading off sensitivity for power handling. Particularly interested in Neodymium to preserve the aging back.

What manufacturers can you get down under? I'd be looking at Precision Devices or Fane in an ideal world.

Rog Mogale over on http://www.speakerplans.com/ sure does love the PD 1850. He can't stop talking about it.
Drop him a line, maybe he knows the new Neo magnet drivers, too.
