Default Accuton C92-6+ETON ER4 project

At first sorry for my uglly english )
Recently I designed a series x-over network for this drivers. Calculations in LEAP based on frd files which was made from manufacturer's data, phase information reached by minimal-phase transform in LEAP. Undortunatelly I haven't exact indormation about acoustic phase ofsets of this units. If any have such information and give it to me, it would be very helpfull to compete the design.

Anyway, thanks for cooperation ))
P.S. Phase and frequency responces calculated with VC ofsets = 10mm (C92-6 deeper from acoustic plane by 10 mm and it's center below the tweeter's one by 140 mm). So for optimal box construction I might to know a needed physical displacement for units.

You need to know your BSC and you need to know your offsets by measurement on final box. The way you do it is a long shot I am afraid.

P.S.

If such a curve was real it would be bound to sound bright IMHO.

Hi,

just as things happen, I have had driver combination a while ago.
The filter I made was a parallel one with a second order Highpass
(6,8µF-0,8mH/0,2Ohm) and a voltage divider with 4,7Ohms seriall and 15Ohms parallel. The ER4 was connected out of phase. The Thiel C92
had a series inductance 2mH/0,25Ohm and a parallel RLC-notch consisting of 0,4Ohm/0,1mH/10µF

maybe that helps ;-)

1. There is no any brigt sound - Er4 is an AMT driver and never sound brigt may be because of narrow vertical dispersion.

2. Calculations of last schematics had demonstrated appr. by 6 dB recessed midrange across x-over frequency with ANY displacements between VC whithin 0..65mm.
Have you mesured combined response?
And how good did it sounds at all?

PS. Possibly I don't said that used ER4 almost as a dipole (there is a big box behind them) So it's FR is different from one with tight closed back side as ETON recommends.
My ears tell me that as more space behind the diafragm of ER4 the more open and livelike sound it's demostrated.
In what way you had used 'em?

Hi,

I rely on my own measurements.
It was a small ´classical´ bookshelf-Design with the ER4 playing onto a very small back chamber.

1.How you can estimate overall perfomance?
2. Is this schematic demonstrated good phase summation around x-over region? I mean a deep null in reversal case...

Hi,

actually I can´t remember. A friend needed a crossover for it and I made it.....haven´t heard the little beast intensively. But he never complained either ;-) I just had some data left about it on the computer and thought it might have helped.
