Default VAF G4 DC-X Speaker Kits

Hello,

I am a newbie to this forum. I built the VAF DC-7's (assembled cabinets) kit about 5 yrs ago and would like to try the VAF G4 DC-X.

I am looking at getting a Denon AVR-3806 to pair with my new home theater PC and would like to build a pair of VAF G4 DC-X's from scratch.

I have searched this forum and found some mention of the plans for these cabinets in the archived section. Does anyone have a copy they could send me. Also any information on the drivers and crossover design would be a much appreciated as well.

Regards

Dave

Is G4 the latest one with "twin tweeters" ??

I have the older version with the single tweeter & poly-glass mid drivers - they sound real nice.
Haven't heard the latest ones myself , but have heard they're are not as good as the previous version.

Yes the G4's have the twin tweeters.

My DC-7's are the same revsion as the older DC-X's so i am not that fussed on having the latest. I assumed the newer ones would sound just as good or better so maybe i am better off sticking with the ones i have heard ie. The older G3 series.

do you have plans and crossover designs???

Regards
Dave

Don't have any "plans" , but they use Audax drivers . Minimalist crossover with just a resister & cap on the tweeter and nothing on the mids.....
