Im looking to design a cheap DIY speaker setup for my computer. I spend a lot of time on the computer, and this is where I listen to most of my music.
Im seriously considering an Adcom GFA 5500 them 2 x 200 @ 8 + maybe a T-Amp if I want to go active with ribbons. It will be hooked up to my soundcard (recommend one also...external seems to be the best bet so far) I'd like to spend as little as possible...I have a limit of $300 but would rather spend closer to $200 if possible. It is going to be listened in the nearfield <1' I listen to mainly progressive rock, such as TOOL and Dream Theater How does a pair of RS180s crossed to a BG neo8 (750-1250hz) or a single RS225 to a BG neo8 sound? All opinions are welcome and please recommend some more options! |
