Exclamation Minimus -2. Can't find any info

I've been give a set of Realistic Minimus -2 bookshelf speakers. I'm trying to find some info on their specs and can't find anything.

They have 6.5 inch Mid/Woofers and 2.5 inch Tweeters.

They're 8 ohm, and the boxes seem to be made of a pretty heavy wood.

They have the old-style Alnico magnets and i'd say they're from the 70's, maybe early 80's.

I'm basically wanting to know how careful i need to be with these on my 50-watt/channel reciever.

Default Creeps at Radio Shack

Up until a few months ago you could have gotten a wealth of info on many, many, older Radio Shack Drivers. I understand the company was sold and the bean counters at the new company obviously felt the good will of continuing the spec pages wasn't worth the few cents it cost them to keep the pages up.

Bad service, bad advise, overpriced shoddy goods is what it seems RS aspires to.

Do a search on google, you should get lucky.

this pair seems to be over shadowed by the Minimus 7 ( a great set btw)

Google points to alot of Min 7 info, but only an add for a stereo by Radio Shack than features the Min -2s

Yeah i know what you mean about RS. They used to be the "Home Depot" for DIY electronics, but now they should just rename themselves "Cell Phone Shack".

I used to work there and my Manager used to talk about how RS shot themselves in the foot dropping the DIY Speakers. He said the old RS 18" inch Woofer was actually a Cerwin Vega. Not to mention the little Fostex 4 incher they sold, the 8 inch Full Range speakers ( all three models were great speakers), etc.

So many great speakers dropped in favor of Nokia 12345s and Motorola 6789s
