L-R active crossover ?

Hi all,
I have just powered up a 4pole Linkwitz Reilly @ 155Hz running my AE1s and Tannoy Leopards either side of the crossover.

There was lots of thump thump and good vocals, but no upper bass.

Whoopsie, the bass must be out of phase!

I swapped the Leopards phase over (rewiring a Speakon is easy) and suddenly a much better fill in. It needs a lot more work to get it sounding right but at least I've started down that long road.

Q.
What is the phasing of a 4pole L-R crossover?
Is a 2pole L-R the same?

Hi Andrew,

phase shift of a 4th order L-R is 360° -> speaker are connected in phase.
with 2nd order LR it is 180°.
