I happened to come across these today morning @ US $1.36 each, .. have no idea how they sound and not as cheap as NSBs but might be interesting in a two way line array.
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=269-741 From my understanding of line array physics, since they are larger drivers (6"), they must be crossed fairly low to a tweeter (in a line array application) Also note the strange flange , .. one might have to get a bit creative to mount it

Flange is not so strange- it is a car audio speaker. The lip that projects from it will hold a plastic grill. Also it appears to have a car audio type plug on it.
Nice price for experiementing with a slightly larger speaker for a line array.

If there were some parameters on them I would definitely consider purchasing, anyone plan on trying them out for us?

I tried a pair of those.... overall response is not bad at all! But you are right about crossing over low, they get quite a bit of cone break-up above 2 to 3 KHz.
