Default Speaker Switching

I'm looking for a recommendation. I want to switch many amplifiers to many speakers. Basically these three settings:

Serious listening - quad amped system - 3 speakers L& R & sub
Background listening - as above but cut out one amp for my delicate Ionovacs
Home theater 5.1 - all of the above

This is going to have to be custom. I don't want one of those commercial switchers with autotransformers or load resistors. So I need to find appropriate relays for the purpose. Anyone know what kind/manufacturer is best in terms of low contact resistance/wear and current capability?

No need for a diagram. I just need a recommendation on what type of relay to use with the contacts rated to handle power amp outputs and with really good contacts.

Hi,

search / research relays suitable / used in power amplifier
protection circuits and you should find something suitable.

Alternatively you could use a bank of manual switches.

RDR, let us know what you find.
I need to do an amp swithing setup, too. Not as fancy as yours, but finding relays with quality contacts would be nice.

A search here was of some help, but no parts #s. I am now going through Mouser and all the manufacturers they sell. Looks like some 16-20 amp DP/DT 24 DC coil relays might do, but I'm not sure about the contact material. Contact fouling over time is a factor. I'll report back later.
