Hi friends
I am running Dynaudio with the D260 tweeter which seems to have a higher level of sibilance than other tweeters I have used. My crossover is the Dynaudio recommended crossover for the 'Nuance' kit available here http://www.gattiweb.com/dynaudio.html. I have used Solen caps with point to point wiring and chord speaker cable back to my amp. Any ideas on how to alter the crossover to reduce the sibilance? Cheers..Ad |

Hi,
http://www.gattiweb.com/dynaudio.html Hmmm..... that seems to be the most pointless crossover topology (for the tweeter) I've seen in a long time. You can adjust R1 and R2 to vary the absolute level of the tweeter, ideally you should keep the value of R1 in parallel with R2 constant. Increasing R1 (and decreasing R2) will increase attenuation. You can also modify the level of the top octave by adding a capacitor and resistor in parallel with R2 to reduce it or R1 to increase it, the latter perhaps with more attenuation. |
