Default multidriver sensitivity

In a tmm or mtm type of enclosure, how do I handle the attenuation circuit for a crossover?

Is it different if the m's are series or parallel?

Thanks.

peace,

Well, I found a spreadsheet that gives me the numbers here:

But I still don't understand how it "works", if you will. How I might work it out on paper.

Basically speaking putting the two m's in parallel will net you an impedance of half the original value and give you 6db of additional output, putting them in series will double the net impedance and leave you with the same output for amplifier level. This will also effect the crossover components you will need to select in order to cross them over.

The best way to handle the attenuation circuit of the crossover without measuring equipment imho is to buy a L-pad and adjust until it sounds right, note the values then replace with appropriate resistors.
