Default "Smithereens" type speakers

Hi,

I was thinking that Darren Kuzma's "Smithereens" project at PE might be a base for a good hi-efficiency pair. The two things that keep me from building that are the discontinuation of the bass driver and the nosedive that the tweeter takes above 14kHz. I was thinking that the 12WS600 woofer would be a replacement for the WPU1209-SLF, but what about the tweeter? I will likely have to modify the crossover to accomodate a different model, but I don't have measuring equipment, and so it might be a pain.

So what tweeter could be a better replacement for an Eminence PSD2002, and what changes, if any, would I have to make to the crossover?

Hi,

A good high efficiency speaker for home use is something like the
Basszilla, http://store.hifiauthority.com/olsherkits.html ,
a pair of PA speakers are only good for parties and/or going deaf.

New bass unit and new tweeter = new crossover, not modding.
