Hey guys, I need some help identifying a tweeter technology.

I have a pair of 1970 H.H. Scott s-100 Pro speakers I rescued from the dump (Yeah, I know. I'm nuts.)

They have a tweeter in them (sorry for no pic but my Kodak Dig crapped out - don't buy Kodak digital cameras!)

It's flat and has a transparent membrane on the top with a black dot in the center. Pretty massive magnet. I do not recognize the technology.

Anybody help me identify what it is and how it works?

I have hooked it up in a test box and it's crisp and clear - doesn't put out much more SPL than a Dayton silk dome but it's clearer by a mile.

What have I got?

Regards,
Tom

It's a Philips AD 0160 T8 the same tweeter in the Dalquist DQ-10. I have a pair of them.

Thanks anyway.

Regards,
Tom
