Default question about crossovers

Hey guys, stupid question for you.

I wanna start getting into the nittygritty of crossover networks and whatnot, but I need to know something.

When speaking about resistors and inductors and stuff, what does the L, C, R mean, like in a crossover map, you see, L1 L2 L3, C1 C2 C3, R1, R2 R3, and so on and so fourth, I basically just want to what the L, C, and R stand for lol, resistor, inductor and the other thing. which is the l, c, r

Thanks, Stupid question I know, But im learning gotta start from the bottom

L, C, and R are the symbols for inductance, capacitance, and resistance, respectively.
