I'm going to build open-baffle versions of Zaph's "best 3" speaker" - basically, the easiest speaker to build ever. Although I do want to make sure of something: is the notch filter the 3-component part in this circuit?
http://zaphaudio.com/audio-speaker18-filter.gif And I don't need the BSC, right? Also, what power rating should the resistor(s) be? |

Forgot to mention that these would be replacing the crap satellites that came with my PC speaker set. I doubt the drivers would be getting any more than 10W a piece, if that.

Hi,
You don't need the BSC if your baffle is big enough. If its not big enough you get baffle roll-off, not step. The notch filter is the 3 component part . 3w wirewound should be fine. |
