I was given two jaycar venom 15in drivers, i am not sure hat they are suitable for dipole usage (low xmax, vented polepiece will probably be noisy, relatively high distortion) however they aren't doing anything but sitting in boxes and i would like to experiment with a U-Frame or H-Frame subwoofer. I have a behringer feedback destroyer so i will be able to equalise them flat etc, however i can't seem to find anywhere on the net that gives me good instructions on how to decide appropriate enclosure dimensions.

The bigger you make the baffle, the less eq you will have to use.

less eq = good since i can use less amplifier power to achieve the same end result correct?
What sort of guidelines should i be looking at for a dual 15in subwoofer, (could expand to stereo dual 15s if liked the result) |

Stereo 15s would be great for a reasonable sized room, especially if they have a small xmax. I would try and make the baffle at least 600mm wide, wider if you can.

by dual stereo 15s i meant four total. If i understand you correctly, you mean 600mm equivilent baffle, however an H-Frame for example raises the effective baffle width?
