Hi Guru's, I wondered if I may ask for some advice.
I've done the searches and got myself in a complete daze Nearfiled listening between 1 > 3 metres Speakers to be built-in to a unit against a wall. In front of which is the dining table (listening position). Cabinet depth about 400mm by about 3metres wide so the speaker cabs will be built into the left and righ extremities. Width and Height of speaker cabinets as required but the available space starts @ 900mm from the ground with a seated listening position. Amplifier: Charlize, class D, low power. Type of music: Low volume Jazz, easy listening...the usual dinner/social tunes! Budget?: The cabinets are irrelevant but let's say about £150(ish) on the drivers. Any advice on drivers and sealed or front ported cabinets would be very much appreciated |

Stick a Jordan JX92 in each side, use the reflex design off the Jordan site. I think it's 7 litres.
Trust me, so simple but sooooo good, perfect for what you want.

Thanks for the passionate insight Sir, obviously one of your favourites. There is an 8 litre reflex and it certainly will fit nicely. Thanks again |

I've just been stunned how good these units are, from an almost non-believer stance.

I've heard the Jordans in a TL (I think, maybe BR).
Very, nice, very smooth. No big bass, of course, but should be just the ticket for what you want. Easy to listen to - and that's a good thing.

OK then, so these look like a real favourite....any more ideas from the two way department maybe?
Or maybe another fullrange.... I wonder if the lack of toe-in may be an issue though? Just a thought....If I made th efront of the unit with doors then would they all become the front baffle?.. |
