I know you guys hate having to read these versus threads. But, I came upon a good deal on the seas excel mids and wondering if it's worth it at all to change my dipole. Right now I'm running a dipole MTM with the rs180 and seas tffc. Would there be small differences if I were to go with the seas excel?
I'll stick with the seas budget tweeters or a ribbon for now. No milleniums. Anyone listened to both mids? |

I'm considering scraping the MTM idea and just go with a MT. Decrease in max spl, but I think I'll like the stage a bit more.
How does that sound? |

If you are referring to the excel magnesium, the first ting you have to consider is how to tame the brake up resonance. If you can do that and they are cheap – go for it.
BTW - Seas budget tweeters, aren’t really budget in terms of sound
