Default Measured the Wurlitzer speakers

Some of you may remember my old thread on the Effects of Magnet Size where I showed some speakers that I salvaged from a console organ. Well I finally got around to mearsureing them and they are very interesting drivers.

They were both mounted in open backed box but the huge magnet on the 15" suggested that it might not be particularly suited for that duty. Indeed with a measured Qes of 0.3 and Fs of 45 they fairly scream horn. The 10" whizzer is a 16ohm rather than the 8ohm of the larger driver and with an Fs of 86 and Qts of just over 1 it seems ideal for the open back application in which it was used. In fact I wish that I had access to another one for use in OB. Check out my Or maybe a TL thread for details on my plans for the big boy.

The only trouble with these salvage jobs is that you never seem to get two identical instruments to canabalize at the same time so that you can get stereo pairs.

Params are shown below for your enjoyment. Note that sensitivity and inductance are not true values just the defaults in boxplot. Also the Xmax is just a total guess.
