This might be a bit offtopic. I was wondering if its possible to route the dolby digital sound (either from files inside the computer, or from the digital input), so that the decoded signal fronts can go out the digital output, and the rear output could be routed to the analog outs.

What kind of soundcard do you have?
If you have an SB Live! or similar you can use the KX project drivers. You can do all kinds of stuff with them, including re-routing outputs and virtually "re-wiring" the card! You can also add plug-ins,EQ,gain stages,VU meters, etc, etc, etc. http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/intro.php |

I've never heard of a SBLive card with digital in and out, and I was hoping to do it with standard drivers, where I could route the inputs/outputs as I wish, especially to console and use FIR filters.
I don't actually own a soundcard. I am thinking of what to buy. Possibly an audiotrak Maya, etc? |
