advice on rogers

hi,

i need to repair/replace a woofer in my rogers ls8a..
i was planning on sending it to Wilsow which would cost around £50 but i've found a pair of rogers ls4a/2 speakers for cheap that use a woofer thats descibed identicaly in the manual:

205mm Rogers polyprene coned, hi flux magnet, kapton coil transformer

they were from the same product line as well

so basically im wondering would this woofer be the same???

any advice would be appreciated

Hi,

Haven't we covered this before ? I say go for the cheapo LS4a/2.

Swop both the LS4a/2 bass drivers with the lower LS8a drivers.

yes but i was about to send the driver off to be repaired and by a stroke of luck found these!! just wondered would they be the exact same driver..
like you say though i can just swap the two in and hey presto..hopefully
