I want to get new speakers for the boxes i have. They have 1 15" speaker, 1 8" speaker and 3" opening. The measurements are 27.5" tall, 16.5" wide and 8.25" deep when measuring from the inside of the box. The box isn't ported but i can make it ported if needed.
What speakers and crossover would u recommend that aren't super expensive? I use these on my home theater(stereo does 110watts per channel) |

Hi,
This isn't in the right forum. 15" woofers and 8" sealed back mid drivers are nowadays very uncommon for home hi-fi, they are common in PA speakers. PA speakers play very (unecessarily) loud but for their size have limited bass extension. Big cabinets and big drivers usually = big cost. What drivers are currently in the boxes and what is the current crossover ? /sreten.

The oringal speakers are gone and i not really sure what the crossover is. The speakers were made in the 80's so i guessing hte crossover would need to be replaced.
