This thread is from 2006. I was just hoping Paul would finish it with perhaps some polar graphs and he he ever made a nice blend from woofer to tweeter. I think he's actually using Geddes designed speakers now if I remember correctly.

Yea, I've been doing some digging to find waveguide information. I was a bit jaded by horns from my previous build and thus my recent 2-way build (which is different but not exactly better. More of a sideways move). Strange I'm back to horns (or WGs) already again. The learning curve is steep, but worthy of pursuit. This time I'm actually "learning" and not guessing.

An exemplary approach. If only more audiophiles would do the same

This is a very old thread!

There are some interesting examples of waveguide loaded dome tweeter in Genelec studio monitors, but in their larger higher output monitors they use CDs.

I now have the bits to do proper measurements, but finding time is another matter. I have an 8" waveguide in the works that I turned up in the lathe, but it's not finished. Using pine that I had on hand was a bad idea! MDF is quick and easy. I did it mainly for curiosity, but for a serious waveguide I think it's better to take out the guesswork and do it Geddes style.
