Default Mini Yorks..

I built a pair of 12L Tannoy York copies, using Peerless 850488 & 811827, ported tuned in the low 60s. Even though Yorks may look a bit retro, I think they're a clever yet simple design. They sound forward & detailed, and coupled with a pair of 8" woofers, have balanced & solid low end.
Eventually I hope to build some 100L York cabs for 840146's to go underneath them. & I'll probably veneer them some day, to cover up my dodgy woodwork... but really enjoyng listening to them too much at present.

Default nice..

looking little speakers. Not a tannoy fanatic, but there must be some merit ...

for me, the attraction was no parallel sides without too much construction difficulty (only a couple of 45 degree cuts).
(and they look different too...)
