Hello everybody,
I need some serious help. I need to see a wiring diagram for a 4x12" guitar cabinet, and wondered if someone had one for me to look at. I have four 75W celestions in it. I need to check if they are all 8 ohm (i REALLY hope so) or if they are mixed. I thought I had it wired to 4 ohms (assumed they all were 8 ohms) but I keep blowing fuses, and I wondered if this was the issue. Anyways, thanks a bunch. |

carlosy,
Find the DC resistance of each of the drivers with a multimeter. Come back and tell us. If you have four 8 ohm (impedance) drivers, it's pretty hard to wire it at 4 ohms. Your basic choices are 2, 8, 32 ohms if you want all the drivers to have the same input. If you have them all in parallel, you are likely overdriving the amp. |
