I found a story of two guys from Slovenia doing High end speakers with an interesting approach. What do you think is it possible to do a high end speaker with such limited tools? If yes where come the prices for high end speakers from?

You call that a 'limited selection of tools'? Holy crap you should try working with what I've got!

"...The interesting thing is that the pressure reached with this method easily exceeds 6-8 tons per square meter. If the sealing is good, even 9 tons per square meter could be reached."
I've never done vacuum forming but is this for real?? Mark

Well, 10 psi is 7031 kgs./sq. meter, or 7 tonnes (which I assume is what is meant), so it would depend on how good your vacuum pump and seal are.

Well, let's see. The limiting factor in a non-assisted vacuum former is about 14.5psi (1 bar), i.e., atmospheric pressure. A meter is about 39 inches, so a square meter is about 1500 square inches. 1500x14.5 = 21750 pounds or about 10 tons (British). A British ton is perhaps 10% less than a metric ton, so their numbers aren't whacky.
edit: cross posted with Aengus, who comes to the same conclusion

Not only is Sy's response much better, since it explains what I merely stated, but he can even spell "vaccum" correctly!
