Hi,
28L for a sealed box is far too large, driver Vas
is 7L so going larger than 10L will be pointless.
If you intend to go full range you will be far better
off building something that will work well as a hifi
speaker and selling the Focals for in car use.

Hi,
TBH the only way they could be sensibly used is set to small
via a AV amplifier which would control the bass response.
At this point though the crossover will be completely wrong
as there is no baffle step compensation or diffraction ripple
compensation.
Put in boxes as is they will sound nothing like they do in-car.
They are engineered to go in car doors and the like, Fs is double, Vas
a quarter, Qts double the values you'd expect from a hifi 6.5" unit.

Hi,
Talking about car speakers, I am just curious, could 8 inch 2-way car speaker be used in OB design as mid-tweeeter combo of course paired with some 12 or 15 inch bass drivers.
Actually, I have as surplus a pair of 8 inch Pioneer, E-motion series 2-way (maybe 3-way, I am not tottaly sure) cevlar cone car speakers, but very nice sounding ones and don't know what to do with them. I don't have their T/S specs.
best regards,
