Default Dipole madness

Some recent projects. First up is my "flown" bedroom system that gets used with an old Monsoon PC speaker systems subwoofer. Tang Band drivers and nice bamboo cutting board. Helper tweeter to get added soon.

Another bamboo cutting board project. This one uses those Ascendant Audio 6.5's. Great Xmax and nice open basket make for good dipole action!

Default a nice close up of the wood (actually grass)

Good shot of the grain. Not too bad for $10 cutting boards at TJ Maxx.

Default one more...

Woofers used along with my Maggies. MB Quart 12" car subs. Forgot the model number right now, but they were "buy one get one free" from Crutchfield a few months ago, so 4 cost me $200 plus they were doing free shipping at the time. They are working out very well. The pole vent is very large and nicely radiused and I get no chuffing even at very high levels. After some measuring last weekend, I've got them well balanced with the Maggies.

Cool pics -- thanks for sharing your work. Do those 4-driver panels hanging from the ceiling ever swing back and forth when they are playing loud?

Hi

Where can you find TB w3-532 drivers these days except direct from Tandband? I have an array of 16 per side. Very nice but will be adding a tweeter or tweeters (40-50) when money comes along! Did the 4 up panel some time ago but then went for the 16. Will have to cross over at around 4K if straight series/parallel array.

regards

AnthonyPT

I never get any swinging because they are crossed over in the 300Hz range. The woofer is in a box on a shelf right below one of the hanging arrays.

What is your crossover slope/frequency for the neo8's, I ask because they essentially dont have a baffle(except on the right side) and im curious how the fr is as a result.
