I think yours looks better than the "original." Excellent workmanship there. Perhaps you'd like to take us through the project - how you did it, what tools you used etc.
Will use the "3137 cherry" color next time, will be more beautiful.

Hi Coax,
Your horn looks superb!
Can you show some pictures of the throat adaptor?
I am very interested in seeing what it looks like.
I know the JBL adaptor used on the 2395 Smith horn has a complex constriction between the compression driver mount and the horn entrance. I wonder if the TAD adaptor is similar?
Cheers,
Ralph.

Hi Coax,
Thanks for the photo of the throat adaptor!
It looks like it constricts down to about 40mm which is a little less than the 34mm of the JBL 2328 adaptor.
Does anyone actually know why the constriction is needed?
Cheers,
Ralph

Hi Ralph,
The voice needs compressing to be pleasant
Compress first and is spread through Horn....
Broad, naturally, there is no pressure....
It is not the same as round horn....

Hi diycoax,
I'll definitely be interested in the near future, for the moment I'm still recovering from all of the expense of my Onken project. LOL
Send me a personal email at directdotheatedatgmaildotcom when you have a moment. I 'd definitely like to discuss it further with you.
