I would like to pair this woofer:
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=264-806 for 300hz and up and this woofer: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=297-429 for below. I want the high woofer to be in a small sealed enclosure, or maybe open baffle, and for the woofer to be vented. So basically i want this to be more of an augmented fullrange. Also, these will be for low volume and I will probably tune higher rather than lower on the lower woofer for frequency response and low bloat. If you have any experience please share! Thanks |

Hi Tade,
IMHO you can obtain a 82.5dB speaker ( anechoic- 4pi) only if you cross a bit higher and mate with a more sensitive woofer like hi-vi M5 to compensate the baffle-step. Depending from how wide the baffle ,to say, 500Hz minimum. An acoustic 12dB can be easy to achieve I suppose. More interesting maybe, in the vision of "fullrange"audiophile oriented, can be a true 6dB at 1Khz minimum. A very interesting design can be a sort of fac-simile of the old Sequerra Met sat also, but maybe I'm out of thread Cheers, Inertial |

It so happens that I became the owner of
CSS FR125 and Vifa XT19 "ringradiator" Like you I plan to use it for low listening level Crossover point will be very high It cost a little more but expect nothing but the very best - maybe even "a match made in heaven" But it will take a while before I can report of sound |
