Anyone willing to solve this case ?

Hi seems only live tqwt thread, I am in the process of building a peer of ml-tqwt's, and I was wondering if it makes any difference to mount the driver on the opposite side to the port, i.e. port on back of enclosure?
Thanks |

Greets!
Have you tried MJK's Classic TL designer? It does a pretty good job, certainly far better than any of the old rules-of-thumb that folks have traditionally used: http://www.quarter-wave.com/Theory/Alignment_Tables.pdf They can be a little confusing if you're math challenged, so there's some insight in this recent thread if you need it: please help with MJK's alignment tables WRT Xmax, I don't know about the SS drivers, but with underhung AlNiCo motors, the highest I've ever seen published is on a 15" at ~4.6 mm, so being a ~8", I imagine it's <3 mm. So? Why 'hijack' his thread instead of starting your own? Anyway, it matters, but normally in a positive way to vent out the rear, with best being downfiring, to help attenuate undesirable higher order vent output. GM
