As I've written in the title, what do you think is better between the two microphones ?
I need a microphone for both purposes: measuring loudspeakers and measuring acoustical parameters of rooms, theaters ecc. (expecially background noise and audio behaviour of theaters), so I need a mnicrophone with a very low noise and good sensitivity. I saw that M30 was very good and can measure till 30Khz but the sensitivity is only 8mV/Pa and someone says that it mounts a modified Panasonic capsule. The DPA4090 can measure only till 20Khz but It should mount a B&K capsule and declares a sensitivity of 20mV/Pa Does any of these microphone come with a calibration file ? Thanks Bye |

Hi,
I have an Earthworks M30, and this came with a calibration chart showing on-axis frequency response and sensitivity, which in my case is 9.5mV/Pa at 1kHz. According to the makers, "A computer file containing the frequency respones data for importing directly into measurement software is available from Earthworks, upon request at an extra cost". I don't have any experience of the DPA4090, unfortunately, so I cannot comment on this. I hope this helps regarding the calibration file query. Regards,
