Default Speaker ID

Hi, just picked up a pair of speakers and cant find who the Mfg is or anything else. They are 2-way ported, they do have a logo badge on the front, "image" silver colored with a red dot over the i. They use a vifa d19td-05 for the tweeter and an unmarked 6.5 (accross the frame) poly type woofer. Well there is a tag on the woofer, PL7F2 4DR51637. I have contacted Image in NZ and PSB in Canada, they say not theirs. Looks like black ash veneered cabinets, 16H-9.5W-93/8D. One speaker has serial no/ No. de S'erie 274094 on the rear. Simple coil and cap mounted on term cup. The surounds are gone on the woofers(foam). A long post, thanks for your time and any help would be great!

Dan

Hi Dan,

Image was a line produced by Audio Products International (API) based in Markham back in the 80's. The bass-mid was built in-house. Its hard to say if you would be able to get a replacement for it. Some people within the company have been known to hold onto things like packrats tho...

hth,

Mark
