Default FR125s + Bass

hi, here are my new Fr125S's in a 11.5 L sealed enclosure ....

Click the image to open in full size.

i did want to build a new horn/tl enclosure for them, but they dont quite work the best so...

i could make a bass enclosure for ..

--one 8 Ohm 6 1/2" bass driver (on front)--
--two 4 Ohm 6 1/2 Bass drivers in paralel(on front)--
--one 8 Ohm 8" Bass driver (on the side)--
(could add a Passive Radiator aswell)

using the same width and depth of my standmounter and around 600mm tall. (it would be 20L in volume)

creating a 2 or 2.5 way with two enclosures with the FR125 crossing at around 80-100Hz

looking for mabye £40ish each for drivers (or £30 for the 4Ohm ones)

example....

What would be best (configuration and driver)????

don't quite understand, for a 0.5 way c/o frequency is ~ 300Hz,
you can't have a 0.5 way below 100Hz - unless you are actually
using a 0.5 way to partially compensate for bass unit roll-off.

Presume you mean in series ?
Having them either side in force cancellation mode is an idea.

Hi,

Crossing over around 100Hz is problematical unless you go active.

If you go active (i.e. bi-amping) driver choice is much more open.
