IB and no baffle,

I want to build a WMTMW loudspeaker ,with all drivers arranged on an open baffle, do i have to use the same drivers as i was building an IB speaker?What woofer and midrange drivers are the best?(best sound quality,capable to play loud).

Joz, why not have a look at the Linkwitz Phoenix. It is an 8" woofer tweeter woofer arrangement. It does not go that low and you could add another bigger (15"?) woofer either end but for bass below about 100Hz di-poles don't really have that much advantage over stereo mono-poles IMO. Linkwitz really knows his stuff so you can’t go at all wrong following him.
