Default 2006 Florida DIY Audio/BeerBQ update

Greetings from Palm Bay. I am sending this out to remind everyone that we have one week to go before the 2006 Florida DIY Audio/BeerBQ event being hosted by myself here in sunny Palm Bay, FL. It is still a go for next Saturday, the 29th of April, at my house. My doors will be open and you are welcome to start showing up at 9 in the AM.

Those of you who have already let me know you cannot make it, hopefully you don't mind still being on my mail list here, just let me know if you want removed.

For those of you have already let me know you will make it, thanks for the replies and heads up. Doing so really helps me try and guesstimate a headcount for chairs, chow, and other important stuff like who is bringing what.

So far, I have received good input about bringing what you have for trade/sell/give so there will be a space/table/area for such things.

I have also had a request for any kind of test equipment that you may have or be able to bring. Even something as simple as an SPL meter would be appreciated. Anything more sophisticated would be great as many of us would love to get a glimpse at it all and maybe even learn some.

I will be sure to have some doughnuts and coffee here for the earlier arrivals and sometime after noon I will fire up the Weber and throw some burgers and dogs on the grill. I will have water, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and Sprite here so if you want something other than that please be sure to bring it.

There is no limit to how long you can stay, in fact later in the afternoon, I will be drinking a beer or two and you are MORE than welcome to bring your own as well. There will be no limit as to how late this thing will go, and as mentined before there will be some partying/beer drinking/music cranking come evening time. I have plenty of tent space in the back yard and everyone is more than welcome to stay for the fun if they would like.

So far there will be at least 7 different speaker systems for us to listen to, with at least 3 different amps to power them with. We will also have a few different subs to evaluate as well. I do have one high-end CD player coming that I know of but if anyone has a more "middle-of-the-road" model, please let me know if you can bring it.

Here are a few maps to help you find your way:

!!! IMPORTANT!!! If you think you may be able to make it, PLEASE let me know via e-mail or phone unless you already have. !!! IMPORTANT!!!

If I have missed anything that needs to be brought up here, please let me know.

Thanks and looking forward to seeing you all here!!!
