I'm building some speakers that will front mount an Altec 416-8C woofer. Do you have any suggestions on trim rings to cover the frame on the 15" woofer? Maybe stack some 3/4 mdf and router some rings that fit over and around the woofer, some kind of plastic trim that could wrap around the woofer or some company that already makes trim rings this large.

If you want it neat and tidy, why not mount the drivers from the rear? A neat removeable hatch in the rear will be less ugly than front mounting and trying to cover up the rim.
Here is an example using a 12 inch driver.

Another reason to go open baffle!
OK, recess the drivers and make up a cover plate that you fix with magnets or velcro.
