I have (10) of the Bose drivers sold at www.allcorp.com and was wondering if there were any specs out there on Bose products as Bose seems to be pretty quiet on all their products specifications... Does someone make their drivers for them?

Right now they are in small enclosures, made by using a holse saw in a solid piece of furniture oak to make a cube with a driver hole in it. they look wonderful, but have very minimal internal volume. If I had any idea what sort of volume to put behind them it would help.
thanks.

stupid $3.50 drivers

Try using loads of EQ instead. That's about the only way to get the right response out of poorly-made drivers. It's no secret that Bose really cuts corners on their speaker drivers, choosing instead (in the case of the 901, which uses the drivers of which you speak) to use lots of equalization (up to 12dB) to make the drivers sound decent. The Direct-Reflecting configuration serves to muddy things up just enough that the Bose drivers' limitations (the resulting intermodulation distortion) aren't quite as evident at first listen. They also have either really high impedance or really low impedance (in which case you would fry an amplifier at any significant volume)

Those drivers can't cost Bose more than $3.50 each...
