Default Orion and polycrystal

Hi folks,

read that orions vibrate quite a bit when driven hard...
what enclosure materials do you use?
there is this material called polycrystal which i read damps vibrations quite well. wonder if anyone had success using this?

Linkwitz acknowledges on his site that the Orion has some vibration in the mid-tweeter baffle, but it is a back and forth motion that produces nothing audible, in the baffle nor the sound of the speaker.

Open baffle speakers do not produce the kind of resonance found in traditional box-type speakers.

Some people have glued sheets of rubber to their Orions to dampen vibrations, and additional cross bracing can be used on the back of the baffle, but I don't think you will need to look for exotic materials with which to build the entire speakers, unless you're prepared to spend a lot more money.
