There are a few good ones. Weems is another good author. At last count he had three, revisions with different titles. Bullock is another in addition to Vance Dickason. I have all, just not the latest.

The title is poorly chosen, it is far more than a mere "cookbook". A totally solid reference.

I stand corrected. Between Measuring and Cookbook, you have all you need IMO. I have the weems book, and the 2 little ones that radio shack sells, and they are not as good as LSDC and Measuring.

Baxandall of tone control fame on Electrostatics
Kelly of ribbon fame on transducer drive mechanisms
Excellent chapter on Headphones
Jeepers! just seen the price on Amazon of the 3rd edition 150$
Try and get a second hand second edition

"high performance loudspeakers" by martin colloms is also good.
Think it might be pricey tho, ive got it on a long loan from the library

Diackason's speaker cookbook is also very informative, as is the loudspeaker and headphone handbook mentioned above.

Jimmy- that's it. Great book, mandatory reading for anyone who actually wants to design a speaker.

SY mentioned the AES reprints, they are called Loudspeakers Vols 1,2 and 3 They are an anthology of articles from the AES (audio engineering society) avaliable from the society
Vols 1&2 were edited by Raymond Cooke the founder of KEF
Classic quote "Loudspeaker designers are busy people"
Also a must have for loudspeaker design

Acoustics by Leo Beranek. This book lays the math and engineering foundation that allows all of the other books (and JAES papers) to be read and understood in detail.

Another option, which is almost as good, is Leach's Introduction to Electroacoustics and Audio Amplifier Design.

These two books are a step deeper then the LSDC by Dickason or the Testing book by D'Appolito which are both excellent.

Is there any information that explains relationships between Cumulative Spectral Decay/Time Energy measurements, Distortion Measurements, and Frequency response measurements. I've begun to see some interesting things and their effects on sound.

Where does one obtain these books. I have looked around at a couple of smaller stores, no luck. I will try Chapters (megabookstore) and see what they have. I am guessing it will probably still be a special order deal more than likely.
