Does anyone have any further dope on the EV-Four bookshelf speaker? 12" cast aluminum frame woofer, 5" sealed midrange, 3"x10" tweeter horn. Crossover freq's 800 and 3500 Hz. IB enclosure. 30-20000 Hz, 30 watts. Nominal 8 ohms. The entire back is a printed datasheet.
Cabinets measure 14" x 25" 13-1/2". Really heavy boxes, nicely finished veneer and tweed grilles. Because they mention that the speakers are ALSO good for stereo use, I'm guessing early 60's vintage. I have tested them on my MC34B P-P tube amp and they sound jaw drop amazing. Smooth ample deep bass, image like crazy and crisp without any sizzle. I could live with these. These could be THE speakers my modified and upgraded Heathkit 14 watt, EA-3, P-P U/L 6BQ5 monobloc amps have been waiting for as a dream team.
