I can get some more of these possible enclosures if any of you are interested. They are pretty thick and appear to be made out of cast aluminum.
I can get more to send out for about $50 per pair plus whatever shipping if any of you guys are interested. I just got a pair for myself today!

one option is to join two spheres together so that
you then have two front facing holes for the drivers.
